Hey everyone, I want to clarify my point on investing into Jeep, as I have received quite a few questions about such perspective. First of all Jeep itself is not a separate and independent entity, you can’t stock invest directly to Jeep. Jeep is part of Chrysler group, but you know what? You can’t invest into Chrysler as well, because Chrysler is part of Fiat! So you can definitely invest into Fiat. But Keep in mind that Fiat Group includes a lot of other entities, so it’s not just Jeep that you will be making your investment in.
Currently Fiat owns the following brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati. So if you are thinking of supporting Jeep you will be supporting each of those brands.
Currently the stock rate for Fiat SpA (BIT:F) stands at 7.54.
As you can clearly see on the graph, Fiat group is on the uprising trend for the past year, and there is on reason to think that this will get changed in the next months. Having different car brands as the portfolio Fiat has actually diversified the risks for their investors. So if there will be a problem in sales for Alfo Romeo Chrysler and Abarth there are still other brands that will cover the looses.
Just to provide some numbers in 2012 Fiat has generated €83,957,000,000 with a total profit of €3,814,000,000. So I would definitely consider Fiat (Jeep) as company for a long term plan investment.
