Jeep Targets 850,000 Sales by 2015

Jeep NewsBehind the wide range of Jeep models, two Chrysler, a smattering of Fiats and Alfa Romeos and local production through an amazing campaign with Guangzhou Automotive Group (GAG), Fiat Chrysler wants to increase their sales in China more than 6 times by the end of 2018. The group sold 130k cars in China last year, the aim for 2018 is now 850,000 cars.

It’s also expected that the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Cherokee,  Jeep Wrangler, Renegade, the coming Grand Wagoneer and a sub-Renegade-sized crossover will either be built in or exported to the China as well. The Chrysler Town & Country and 300 will join the export list in 2016 and 2018 respectively, according to a report in Automotive News.

With a number of those vehicles not in production or perhaps even envisaged yet, and others not due on the local market until 2018, it will be interesting to see how Fiat Chrysler plans to achieve the target in the specified time frame. The joint venture with GAG builds two products now, the Dodge Dart-based Fiat Viaggio launched two years ago – supposedly designed just for China – and the just-launched Fiat Ottimo, a hatchback version of the Viaggio. Fiat projected 300,000 Viagio sales in its first two years, that number has been adjusted downward to 94,000 and there doesn’t appear to be an analyst alive that sees a good future for Fiat in China’s overrun mainstream market. Still, last year’s 130,000 group sales in China is a huge jump from 2012 sales of 66,000 units, but less than half the 300,000 units it projected.

Jeep, on the other hand, is in a much better position as a “tough,” inspirational brand and made plenty of noise for the locals with four styling concepts at this year’s Beijing Motor Show. Nevertheless, while much lower pricing on locally-built models, the expanded dealership network and projected 2015 sales of 53,000 Jeep products will assist in the push, finding those additional hundreds of thousands of units leaves a lot of ground to cover. The 850K number represents about 12 percent of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ global sales target of nearly seven million units by 2018.

The Jeep Wrangler Sundancer is painted in a dark brown color called “Chocolate Brown” it’s also has a really nice design with gold detailing, bronze-tinted glass, LED-lights in the bumpers, and 20-inch pale gold alloys.  It’s quite a well known fact that Chinese car buyers love to style up their 4×4 vehicles with different  “bling-bling” jeep accessories as well as special colors. That is pretty much why Jeep has designed this concept, to jeep the Chinese consumers happy with their fancy looking Jeep.  jeep-wrangler-sundancer

The Jeep Weangler Sundancer is importer to China, the price will start at 429.900 yuan and ends at 568.800 yuan which is about £41,000 to £54,000 range. As you all understant the Jeep Weangler Sundancer name has been created by combining words Sun and Dancer which stands for a vehicle that dances on the sun, it doesn’t explain the dark brown color though, shouldn’t it be something a little bit more brighter than?Jeep-Wrangler-Sundancer-Design-Concept-interior

jeep accessoriesSo what can I say? I think it’s pretty legitimate to keep your Jeep clean at all time, not only your Jeep will remain shining but you will also be able to take pictures of it and show-off to your friends. Cleaning your Jeep in spring is important as you definitely wan’t to get rid of all that dirt from winter time and to obviously prepare your beloved Jeep for a lovely spring-summer time. Don’t forget that summer is only 1.5 months away from us now. Basically, you wan to make sure that all the small items are checked on your list to ensure your vehicle is ready for a warm adventure trip once again.

Clean the Underbody
This is important, especially when you are hosing off your Jeep in the driveway, please make sure you don’t skip this part as this is pretty crucial. You need to clean all the road salt that is the from winter, as well as extra grime that your Jeep might have picked up from braving the icy roads this winter. This will ensure you a very smooth ride.

New Parts
If you are not a big fan of cleaning stuff, perhaps you might consider getting some new jeep accessories. In this case you might want to visit a great website called Bestop which is the official distributor of bestop.com in UK.

Replacing Wiper Blades is important
Your wiper blades have probably been used a lot during winter and have been pretty damaged as well. Spring is quite a rainy time of the rain, so it’s a good idea to make sure that you wiper blades would be fully prepared.

Clean your Headlamps
You should have had a lot of  dirt on you headlamps, and now is the right time to clean them. Make sure you scrub them down properly, or else you will have them a bit cloudy. Keep in mind that if you love your Jeep this vehicle accessory needs to shine at all time!

Clean your top
If you are using a soft top or a hard top, it is the right time to take it out of the garage or make it look clean. You won’t get them dirty again unless you are planing to take an off road trip any time soon. But before you actually do, make sure it’s clean.

Jeep and Train Crush in Texas

It’s about time I post an interesting video on Jeep topic. One of the latest videos I found is trending all over the internet and is about Jeep Crushing into a Train in Houston Texas. So in this video a Jeep Grand Cherokee Driver decides to ignore the red lights at the rail crossing, despite all the warnings and closed gates. The interesting thing is that the man was doing that whilst having two kids in the back of his car. This clearly proves that you don’t really need a to extra smart to get driving license.

The good news is that the father with his kids are alright and just got a few injuries, which is quite surprising for that kind of crush. I think they got lucky because the train wasn’t traveling fast enough, you can see clearly that the train pushed the car forward rather than destroying it right where it sanded.  Probably the guys was in a real rush and wasn’t bothered to take a look a the both sides before trying to pass the rail crossing. Or there is also a chance that he wasn’t able to see the rail properly on the right side because of some abstractions.  Anyway, don’t ever try to pass the rail crossing when the right is red guys.

Please let me know what you think about Jeep and Train Crush in Texas – Houston in the comments section.

What to Expect from Jeep Renegade?

Posted by Douglas Bigland on March 25, 2014
Posted in: Accessories, Jeep, News, Reviews. Tagged: jeep renegade, Jeepster, Mike Manley. 1 Comment

jeep renegade - what to expectIn the Jeep world, everyone is talking about the new Jeep Renegade model. I must say there has been some mixed feelings from jeep fans towards this new Jeep model. Most people agree on the fact that Jeep Renegade is no-where near the classic Jeep’s line up. Whereas some people think that Jeep is trying to extend it’s reach by building not exactly Jeep look-a-like vehicles. The new Jeep renegade already has a nick name – “cute brute” and “baby Jeep”

Here is what Aaron Bragman the Chief of cars.com said about Jeep Renegade: “I think it’s fantastic. It’s exactly what the baby Jeep should be. To me, it is something we don’t have yet in this market. It is a really small, trucky-looking vehicle.”

Constructed in Italy but deigned in United States the new Jeep Renegade will be sold in more than 100 countries around the globe. An analysis made by Detroit Free Press expect in to be a real hit in China, Europe and South America.

two-jeeps-renegadesThe Renegade name should be familiar to enthusiasts because it’s been used to designate special trim levels for the CJ-5 and CJ-7 — predecessors to the Wrangler — and the Liberty. It also was the name of a concept vehicle shown at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. The 2015 Renegade will mark the first time the name has been used as its own model name.

Mike Manley, president and CEO of the Jeep brand, expects sales of more than 800,000 worldwide this year, up from a record 731,000 in 2013.

“As this segment develops in the coming years, I think there is a very good chance it will be our top seller” internationally, Manley said.

“I have always said the Cherokee styling does not necessarily indicate where Jeep brand is going,” Manley said. “I think this is a classic Jeep. I think that is what we wanted to create in this segment.”

You can find out more on Manley’s predictions for jeep here.

Well at the moment we can speculate on what the sales will actually look like and will Jeep Renegade become one of the most popular Jeep models to be sold in 2015. Please come back soon for more information on Jeep, you can also visit http://bestop.co.uk/ to find any kind of jeep accessories for internal and external design.
